Appointments
We use an appointment system to serve our clients more efficiently and minimize wait times. Emergency patients receive immediate care, with scheduled appointments resuming once emergencies are stabilized. Walk-ins are accepted only if space permits, and typically, we ask clients to schedule ahead.
Canceling an Appointment: To respect our staff and other pets’ medical needs, please contact us promptly if you can’t make your appointment. Early cancellation allows us to help another pet in need. We ask that you call at least 24 hours before your appointment to cancel. Appointments are in high demand, so your cooperation helps ensure timely care for all.
If you can’t reach a receptionist, please send a Vello text or leave a detailed voicemail. If you want to reschedule, leave your name and phone number, and we’ll return your call promptly.
Late Cancellations: These occur when appointments are canceled without providing 24 hours’ notice.
Appointment No-Show and Late Policy: A no-show is when a client misses an appointment without canceling. Arriving more than 15 minutes late is also considered a no-show. The receptionist will check if your pet can still be seen that day; if not, you’ll need to reschedule. Because our appointments run back-to-back, late arrivals may limit the care your pet receives.
Fees:
Late arrivals over 15 minutes incur a $15 fee.
For no-shows or late cancellations, the first time allows rescheduling without charge. The second time results in a $70 office call fee, which must be paid before booking future appointments. This fee is deducted if you keep the rescheduled appointment but is non-refundable otherwise. A third occurrence leads to discharge from the practice.
Missing a surgery appointment without 24-hour notice is treated seriously. The first missed surgery appointment prompts a call to reschedule. The second results in a $100 missed appointment fee, payable before future surgical procedures. Like office calls, this fee is deducted if you keep the appointment but non-refundable if you no-show. A third missed surgery appointment results in discharge.
Patient Control and Admission
For everyone’s safety, dogs must be leashed in the reception area and en route to exam rooms. Small pets like cats, rabbits, ferrets, and birds need appropriately sized carriers. Please keep your pet calm and avoid aggressive behavior toward guests or staff. Disruptive pets may be asked to wait outside.
If your pet shows signs of contagious illness (coughing, sneezing, diarrhea), please notify us upon arrival and wait outside until staff directs you to an exam room. All regular patients must be current on Rabies vaccinations per local and state laws.
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time services are provided. We accept Cash, Check, Apple Pay, Debit, Major Credit Cards, and Care Credit. For convenience, we can text payment links for online processing. We do not offer payment plans. Estimates are provided for most services—please ask if one is not offered. We strive to provide excellent care within your budget, but medical costs are rising. Many clients find pet insurance helpful; ask our team for more info.
Medical Services and Daycare
We are a trusted, full-service medical facility. We also offer doggy daycare next door at My Dog’s Spot!. All daycare pets must be current on vaccinations and testing to ensure a safe environment.
